META KEY / INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

IP Ownership & Assignment

Access, participation, contribution, possession, and ownership are different legal and governance concepts.

This notice explains the general intellectual-property boundaries applied to Meta Key technology, AWECORE™, contributor activity, and related materials.

IMPORTANT This notice is not itself an IP assignment agreement.

Opening, reviewing, acknowledging, or proceeding past this notice does not by itself transfer ownership of intellectual property.

CHAIN OF TITLE
01 Creation ORIGIN
02 Ownership BASIS
03 Assignment INSTRUMENT
04 Rights CURRENT

02 Document
03 Assign where applicable
04 Preserve evidence

Ownership requires a basis.

Intellectual-property ownership should be established through facts, applicable law, agreements, and supporting evidence.

Possessing files, accessing source code, contributing to a project, funding work, using technology, or being associated with an organization does not by itself resolve ownership.

When ownership is transferred, the applicable transaction should be documented through the appropriate written instrument or other legally recognized basis.

Four distinctions matter.

01 OWNERSHIP

Who holds the right?

Ownership concerns the legal holder of the applicable patent, copyright, trademark, trade-secret, software, contractual, or other IP right.

02 CREATOR

Who created it?

Inventorship, authorship, contributor status, and ownership are related questions, but they are not necessarily the same determination.

03 ASSIGNMENT

Was ownership transferred?

A material transfer of ownership should be supported by the applicable assignment, agreement, transaction, or other legally recognized basis.

04 LICENSE

What use is authorized?

A license may authorize defined use without transferring ownership. License rights and ownership should therefore be evaluated separately.

Access does not create ownership.

Existing technology remains subject to its applicable ownership, licensing, confidentiality, and contractual controls.

01
AI OS AWECORE™

Access to or work involving AWECORE™ does not itself establish ownership of pre-existing technology.

02
Global AI Matrix™

Architecture, methods, models, documentation, and related proprietary materials remain subject to their applicable rights.

03
Source, architecture & methods

Repository access, possession, implementation work, or technical participation does not independently establish title.

04
Trade secrets & confidential information

Protected information remains subject to applicable confidentiality, access, and trade-secret controls.

Contributions require classification.

PRE-EXISTING IP Existing before the engagement

Pre-existing intellectual property should be identified and treated according to the applicable agreement. Participation in a project alone does not automatically transfer it.

NEW CONTRIBUTION Created during authorized work

Newly created material should be evaluated for authorship, inventorship, ownership, assignment status, and applicable contractual rights.

THIRD-PARTY IP Rights held by someone else

Third-party software, models, datasets, APIs, content, libraries, and other materials remain subject to their applicable rights and licenses.

FUNDED DEVELOPMENT Customer or government rights

Customer-funded or government-funded work may carry separate contractual, data-rights, reporting, licensing, or ownership requirements.

A transfer should leave an evidence trail.

01 IDENTIFY Asset

Identify the intellectual property or rights being evaluated.

02 VERIFY Ownership basis

Determine the apparent creator, owner, contributor, or rights holder.

03 DOCUMENT Transfer

Use the applicable written instrument or legally recognized transaction where ownership is intended to move.

04 PRESERVE Chain of title

Preserve the resulting ownership, licensing, and supporting evidence.

What your acknowledgement means.

By proceeding after reviewing this notice, you acknowledge that access to Meta Key or AWECORE™ materials does not itself establish ownership of those materials.

You also acknowledge that actual ownership transfers, assignments, licenses, contributor rights, and exclusions are determined by the applicable written agreements, legal instruments, and governing requirements.

This website acknowledgement is not, by itself, an assignment of your intellectual property.

Evidence before assumption.

Intellectual-property questions can depend on the asset, contributor relationship, applicable contract, jurisdiction, funding source, and underlying evidence.

OWNERSHIP Document the basis

Do not infer title solely from possession, access, use, or affiliation.

ASSIGNMENT Use the proper instrument

Material transfers should be documented through the applicable legal mechanism.

LICENSING Separate use from ownership

Authorized use does not necessarily mean ownership has transferred.
